Exploring Kabul and Bamyan
Day 1 : Discovering Kabul
Upon arrival at Kabul airport or pickup from Torkham border in Pakistan, we will proceed to the hotel for check-in. Following a brief settling-in period, our excursion will commence with a visit to the magnificent Mughal Gardens, a testament to the Mughal Dynasty’s Emperor Zaheer ud Din Babar.
Next, we will visit the Sakhi Shrine, followed by a brief respite. We will then explore the Shah do Shamshira Mosque and the vibrant Bird Market, showcasing an array o bird species, including parrots and pigeons. Our journey will continue with a visit to the Mosque of Taimur Shah Durrani and conclude at Wazir Khan Akbar Hill.
Day 2 : Kabul to Bamyan
Embark on a captivating journey from Kabul to Bamyan, renowned for its legendary Buddhas and the breathtaking Band-e Amir National Park. This tour seamlessly blends history, culture, and natural beauty, catering to explorers seeking an immersive experience beyond Kabul. Bamyan offers a tranquil and unforgettable journey into Afghanistan’s cultural heartland.
Our exploration of Bamyan will commence with the ancient city of Zuhak, followed by Gholghola Ancient City and the picturesque Kakrak Valley. We will visit the iconic Ancient Buddhas, whose image was carved into a massive rock and subsequently destroyed by the Taliban regime. The site has since been restored by Japanese experts. We will also explore cave houses, where local families still reside, and enjoy tea with one of these families, engaging in conversation and gaining insight into their lives.
Day 3 : Exploring Bamyan City
On our penultimate day, we will visit the stunning Band-e Amir blue lake, situated within Afghanistan’s first national park. The lake’s deep blue hue and alpine setting, formed by natural travertine dams, create a breathtaking landscape. Our scenic journey will take us through valleys and mountains, offering opportunities for walking, picnics, boating, and potentially observing local wildlife.
Day 4 : Returning to Kabul
Our four-day tour will conclude with a drive back to Kabul. Upon arrival, we will proceed to the airport or drop off at the Torkham border, bringing our Afghan adventure to a close.
